But this isn’t just a story about celiac disease—it’s about hope, resilience, and my incredible four-legged partner, Barley.

Barley is my white Labrador and future gluten-detection service dog in training**. Together, we’re journeying to reclaim my independence and explore the world safely. With Barley’s nose to guide me, I’m learning that living gluten-free doesn’t have to mean missing out.

I love working in coffee shops and people-watching, but I hate coffee. I drink lots of hot chocolate, even in the summer. I’m a self-published author of eight novels, a Cozy Mystery Series, and a Contemporary Christian Romance with more on the way. I love a good notebook, erasable colored pens are the greatest invention, and spreadsheets are my love language.

Barley will soon join the pack alongside Pepper Jane, my sister's spirited Maltese, and Bandit, my lovable little Dachshund, affectionately known as My Little Man.

My family has been my greatest cheerleader every step of the way—I couldn’t embark on this journey without the unwavering support of my mom, Anne, and my baby sister, Erin.

I adore my family, sweet tea, Jesus, hot chocolate, drawing, painting, my hometown, Scooby-Doo, and owls—but not necessarily in that order!
